Payment

Conventional classes

Conventional classes are those which are held in person, with teacher and student(s) present at a pre-determined location and time.

Payment for such lessons is billed directly to the nominated payee(s), as specified on the contract of tuition.

Monthly invoicing
Payment is due in advance for the first month of contract. As of the second month, the invoice is issued on the first day of the month with payment due within 30 days. Late fees apply*.

Quarterly invoicing
Payment is due in advance for the first quarter of contract. As of the second quarter, the invoice is issued on the first day of the quarter with payment due within 30 days. Late fees apply*.

Online classes
Online classes are those which take place using Skype, a headset and webcam, with teacher and student(s) present at different locations at a scheduled time.

Payment for such lessons is billed directly to the nominated payee(s), as specified on the contract of tuition.

Invoicing
Payment is due in advance for all online services. Lessons will proceed upon confirmation of payment only.

Payment may be made through bank transfer, or using PayPal.

Workshops
25% of the total workshop fee (+ workshop packs) is due upon booking and is not refundable. Payment of the remaining balance is due within 30 days of booking.

Cancellations

Services cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the normal rate.

Services cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice can be rescheduled or credited to the following month's invoice.

Cancellations are made by email or by phone (please view the contact details of your teacher on your contract). Text messages and/or voicemails are only valid upon acknowledgement/confirmation of receipt.

Lateness

Lateness on the part of the student is lost lesson time.

Lateness on the part of the teacher can be redeemed as credit on the following invoice, or in extended class time.

Termination of contract

Conventional lessons have a minimum notice period of 4 weeks for termination of contract.

Online lessons require no notice period for termination of contact.

Materials

Rates listed for conventional and online lessons do not include books, other materials or exam enrolment fees.

*The interest fee charged on late payment for all services, including proofreading, translation and interpreting, is 14% per annum.
